Cut out roses

Royal Visit

On Thursday 15th July 2010, Abbeyfield Wessex were very privileged to welcome the Countess of Wessex to the official Grand Opening of our new Westbourne House in Bournemouth.

Although initially a very windy day, the skies cleared and The Countess was treated to a warm greeting by residents and dignitaries alike. Following a speech by the Chairman Mr. Trevor Biddle, the Countess was shown around the house and chatted to the delighted residents. She unveiled a plaque which will be sited on the wall at Westbourne House and she signed as the very first name in the guest book. Then everyone was pampered with a delicious lunch provided by Abbeyfield chefs and staff.
