Romsey house was purpose built and opened in 1993. It has 11 single rooms, two flats which could be occupied by couples and a respite room. All rooms have ensuite facilities. There is a kitchen and bathroom (with assisted bath seat) on both floors of the house, along with a communal lounge and dining room on the ground floor. Cleaning of the rooms and personal laundry is all included in the room charge.
There is a small grassed area to the front of the property and a large patio seating area to the back overlooking the school playing field. The house offers parking for several cars.
We are located in the market town of Romsey and it is just a short walk to the town centre and Romsey Abbey. Market days are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
We are approx. 8 miles from Southampton and approx. 15 miles from Salisbury, both of which have large shopping centres.
We have a local library vehicle which visits our house once a month and someone from the church also visits once a month to do Communion.
Romsey is a very caring community and is a good place for the elderly as there is so much to do here. Transport is not a problem as we have an excellent ‘Good Neighbours’ scheme.
If you would like to visit the house please contact the House Manager on 01794 518890 to arrange a convenient time.
