Volunteer Recruitment

If you then decide to become a volunteer with Abbeyfield we will ask you to complete a short application form, giving the details of two referees and you will be invited for an interview to explore which roles you might be interested in.

Because our residents are elderly and some of them may be quite vulnerable it is the policy of the Society to ask all volunteers to complete an application form for a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure. Once we have received satisfactory references and a clear Disclosure, you will be able to start in your new role.
